What we collect, and what we do with it
Short version: an email address if you ask for the newsletter, and that is nearly all.
This policy covers ketolife.in. It is written to be read, not skimmed past, so it says plainly what data exists, who processes it and how to get rid of it. If it ever changes in a way that matters, the change will be noted at the top of the page.
What we collect
There is no account system and no comment form here. The only place you can hand over personal data is the newsletter signup box. If you fill it in, you give us one thing: your email address. That is the entire dataset. We do not ask for a name, and the form does not have a field for one.
The email address is used for one purpose: sending the newsletter — one email a week with a recipe and a note about how it went the first time it was cooked. It is not sold, rented or shared with advertisers.
Who processes the newsletter
The signup form is handled by Sequenzy, which acts as the email service provider. When you submit the form, your email address goes to Sequenzy, which stores it and sends the mail. We see only what Sequenzy shows us: the address itself, and enough delivery metadata (sent, opened, bounced) to keep the list healthy. You can unsubscribe with the link at the bottom of every email, and the address is then removed from the list.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It is first-party and cookieless: it sets no advertising cookies and does not track you across other sites. What it records is aggregate page views and referrers — how many people arrived at a page and from where — not personal profiles, and not anything that identifies you. The newsletter form may still set a cookie on Sequenzy's behalf so it can remember that a signup is in progress; that is the only cookie involved.
Affiliate links
Some articles link to products. Where a link is an affiliate link, we may earn a small commission if you buy something after clicking it — at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links never decide whether a recipe gets published, and a disappointing product is written up as disappointing whether or not a commission is on offer. Clicking an affiliate link takes you to the retailer, whose own privacy policy then applies; we do not receive your name, address or payment details.
Links to other sites
Articles link out — to retailers, to original sources, to our sister site indianketo.com. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site, governed by someone else's policy. We cannot see what happens there and this policy stops at our edge of the link.
How long we keep things
A newsletter address is kept until you unsubscribe, after which it is deleted from the list. Bounced addresses are removed automatically rather than retried forever. We do not keep a second copy of the list anywhere.
Deleting your data
To have your email address removed, either use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email, or write to us via the contact page and ask. Say you want the address deleted rather than merely unsubscribed and we will confirm once it is gone. There is nothing else held about you to delete.
Contact
Questions about this policy, or about anything above, go through the contact page. We read everything and reply to most of it, usually within a few days.
